MERP - A Spell-binding Success
Members of the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District travelled to the Richard Bong Recreation Area in Southeast Wisconsin to learn about membership development. The Membership
Education and Recruitment Program (MERP) taught members the finer points of educating our new members for the fall while allowing for great fellowship.
Attendees arrived on Friday, June 15th and began to unload belongings and tents into one of multiple campsites.
The night included fellowship, discussion, and a warm camp fire.
Saturday began early with a pair of fine service projects. One group of people sacrificed themselves to the BloodCenter. Another group helped with landscaping work and made cards for small children, all the while keeping their hard-earned blood.
Later in the day, Kate Morgan led a wonderful workshop to detail the workings of membership. Those not in attendance can feel free to contact Kate, mdg@wumcirclek.org, or read the most recent issue of the Circle of Sharing to find useful information.
The rest of the weekend included eating, swimming, and enjoying the presence of friends. MERP was a rousing success that should lead to another wonderful year of service and growth.
