Suggested Duties of a Kiwanis Family Chair
- Create a list of K-Family goals that you would like to accomplish this year. Consult your executive board officers, faculty and Kiwanis advisors, and current members to get their input from previous experiences.
- Plan for monthly or bi-monthly meetings of the members of the Circle K club K-Family committee. Invitations should be sent to your Faculty advisor, your Kiwanis advisor, your sponsoring Kiwanis club president, members of your sponsoring Kiwanis club's sponsored Youth committee, your Circle K club's executive board officers, and all interested Circle K members.
- Prepare an agenda for each Committee meeting.
- Create a report to describe the outcomes of the meeting. Deliver it to your Circle K club president, your Circle K secretary, your faculty advisor, your Kiwanis advisor, and your sponsoring Kiwanis president.
- Maintain a file of records, contact information, correspondence, informational packets and documents to pass on to your successor.
- Promote opportunities for K-Family involvement for your club members and other people in the organization. Encourage attendance at Circle K district and divisional events.
- Plan K-Family events for your club members to participate in. Forge K-Family relations with your club and other K-Family members through such events as the Model Kiwanis Program andthe Key to College Program.
